Pupils of Schools of Eight Communities of Gegharkunik Marz in Parliament

On June 24, the pupils and teachers of eight communities of Gegharkunik Marz visited the RA National Assembly, with whom the deputy of the NA My Step Faction Edgar Arakelyan met.

The representative of the legislative body touched upon the velvet revolution happened in Armenia and the implementing reforms. Highlighting the role of the education in the progress of the country, the deputy urged the pupils to study well, choose a profession in demand and close to their heart.

The pupils expressed wish to often visit state structures and get acquainted with their activities, which would help to get orientated in the choice of their profession in a right way. In his turn the MP highlighted the development of the Masters’ Lessons Institute in the general education schools. They have referred to current 12-year educational system and noted that there is need of reforms there.

The guests took a tour in the parliament building and were in the History Museum of the National Assembly.

The NGO Open Borders Institute of Peace, Democracy and Development of Edu-Logic Equal Start project initiated the meeting.
